Thinking of Joining?

Thank you for your interest in 1st Abbotsford Scout Group!

We offer five Scouting sections: Beavers (ages 5–7), Cubs (ages 8–10), Scouts (ages 11–14), Venturers (ages 15–17), and Rovers (ages 18–24). (You may hear these called a Colony, Pack, Troop, Company, or Crew.) Scouts Canada is also piloting a Chipmunks program for ages 4–5, which our group does not currently offer.

All Scouting registration in Canada goes through MyScouts. When a section is at capacity, MyScouts automatically adds new registrations to that section's wait list. Our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts sections are currently at capacity, so new registrations for those sections will be wait listed. Venturers and Rovers are still accepting new members.

How can my youth join sooner?

The number of youth we can take is limited by the number of volunteer Scouters. New youth whose parent or guardian becomes an active Scouter can join right away, without waiting on the section wait list.

If you are interested in becoming a Scouter, even if you've never been involved in Scouting before, email [email protected] and we'll walk you through what's involved.
